Experiment Kits from Elemental Science

March 26, 2014 by Paige Hudson

Did you know that at Elemental Science we offer experiment kits for each of our preschool and classic series programs?

Experiment Kits from Elemental Science!

Why we offer experiment kits

We began putting together experiment kits after we got repeated requests for the liquid bluing used in our Intro to Science program. The first go-around we assembled about 20 kits around our kitchen table. They were so successful that we decided to try a few more the following year.

Now, we put together 9 different kits over a two month period early each spring. It takes up two rooms to store the supplies and fill the kits, but each one is still packed by hand. Sure we could outsource these kits and save ourselves the trouble, but then the price would be much higher. Plus, they would not include many of the items we currently do.

We have decided to keep the experiment kit assembly in-house, so that we can provide you with the best possible product at the most reasonable price.

Key features of our experiment kits

Our experiment kits are designed to be:

  1. Time-saving – We include the hard to find and difficult to obtain materials in each of our experiment kits. So you can spend your time actually doing the experiments, not hunting for the supplies.
  2. Affordable – We source the materials for economical prices and then pass the savings onto you! The price of our kits vary because we keep it as close the the actual cost as possible. We know what it is like to homeschool and are committed as a company to help you obtain science materials at an affordable price.
  3. Environmentally friendly – As a company we try to do our best to reduce our negative impact on the environment. For our experiment kits, we reduce the amount of plastic waste we create by not bagging the supplies according to week and by using recycled paper packing materials. We also use only one box made from recycled materials to ship and house the materials.

On top of those three features, the price of every experiment kit includes priority mail shipping to the continental US!

Future plans for experiment kits

As we look forward to the future, we plan on adding to our experiment kit line as requested by our customers. So if you would like to see an experiment kit for our Sassafras programs or for our science lapbooks, please let us know in the comments below.

We will also continue to adjust and update our current experiment kits as needed. In other words, if there is something you would like to see in one of our kits, drop us a line and let us know what it is!

Above all, we are committed as a company to help you obtain science materials for your experiments at an affordable price!

Welcome to the Elemental Blogging Laboratory

profile picWelcome to the Elemental Blogging Laboratory, a.k.a. the Eb Lab. Here at the lab, I have the pleasure of sharing with you all my passion for mixing up solutions for homeschool science! My name is Paige Hudson. I am a homeschooling mom and science curriculum writer for Elemental Science.

Why do I call this blog the "Eb Lab"? It is because I am scientist at heart and by profession, so it pretty much spills into everything I do. I love to share tips and tools with fellow educators as they seek to share science with their students!

That is what this blog is all about. One homeschooler to another, sharing her area of expertise, seeking to support you as you teach your students about the wonders of science.

So, grab your lab coat, notebook, and goggles...well maybe not the goggles because let's face it nobody looks good in those...and you probably don't have a lab coat lying around your house either...

So, grab a cup of coffee and notebook, and head on in to the Eb Lab to gather tools for homeschool science, tips for homeschooling, and the latest Elemental Science news!
