Our Curriculum

We have used many different curriculum throughout the years, but we have always remained classical in our approach to homeschooling. Over the years, I’ve written several posts with tips for homeschool in general. Here’s a few of the most popular:

2014-2015 School Year (7th grade & K4)

7th Grader

Literature-We’ve always chosen books that go along with our history studies and this year we’ll be doing some of the same, but we’ll also be adding a formal literature course through CurrClick’s online classes.

History-The Discovery of New Worlds by MB Synge, The Awakening of Europe by MB Synge and The Kingfisher History Encyclopedia
Bible-4 year through the Bible plan

Electives-SQUILT music appreciation, Through the Seasons Chalk Pastels Plans, and Fallacy Detective
Preschool-The only reason I’m considering doing anything with my son this year is because he asks for it daily. We’ll be making a sticker book with a page for each of these and drawing book and activity ideas from the following resources: Preschool Activities in a Bag, Animal ABC’s, Scholastic”s AlphaTales box set, and Alphabet Art by Williamson.

2012-2013 School Year (5th grade)
